Pathology Results Communication Update

At Hudson Dermatology, we are committed to providing high-quality care while ensuring clear and timely communication. To streamline how pathology results are shared and to allow our providers to focus on patients who need follow-up care, we are updating our pathology results communication process.

WHATS CHANGING?

Effective January 1, 2026

  • Benign pathology results that do not require treatment will be released directly to your patient portal.
  • You will not receive a phone call from the office for benign results.
  • Results that require treatment, follow‑up, or further discussion will continue to be communicated directly by your provider or our clinical team.

This change allows us to prioritize outreach to patients who need additional care while still ensuring all patients receive their results promptly.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

IF YOUR RESULTS ARE BENIGN
  • Your results will be posted to your patient portal once finalized.
  • No action is required unless you have questions or concerns.
IF YOUR RESULTS REQUIRE FOLLOW-UP
  • A member of our clinical team will contact you by phone.
  • Next steps, treatment options, or follow‑up visits will be discussed directly.

WHAT WE RECOMMEND

To ensure you recieve your results without delay:
  • Confirm your email address and phone number are up to date
  • Activate and regularly check your patient portal
  • Contact us if you need assistance accessing your account
