Dr. Fil Kabigting is a dual board-certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology.
He joined Hudson Dermatology after four years as a member of the Columbia University faculty dermatology practice at New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He was an assistant professor of dermatology at Columbia and continues to be a clinical instructor there. He was named a New York Metro Area SuperDoctor in 2019. In 2021, he was rated by his peers as one of the Hudson Valley’s Top Doctors according to Castle Connolly, as published by Hudson Valley Magazine.
Dr. Kabigting treats all conditions of the skin, hair, and nails including acne, psoriasis, eczema, and skin allergies, practicing in our Kingston, Hudson, and Poughkeepsie offices.
Dr. Kabigting graduated from Stanford University, where he majored in human biology, then was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship before attending medical school at the University of California in San Diego. He earned both his M.D. and a master’s in clinical research while at the same time completing a clinical research fellowship at the UCSD’s Division of Dermatology.
He completed his internship in internal medicine at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Hospital and residency training in dermatology at Mount Sinai/St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center, where he was selected as chief resident. He subsequently completed fellowship training in dermatopathology at the Ackerman Academy of Dermatopathology.
