Dr. Hendrik Uyttendaele is a board-certified dermatologist and is the owner of Hudson Dermatology, P.C. He has been rated by his peers one of the Hudson Valley’s best doctors by Castle Connolly as published by Hudson Valley magazine for 12 years in a row.
Dr. Uyttendaele completed his residency in dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. He graduated with an M.D. from the University of Leuven, Belgium, and received a Ph.D. from Columbia University in New York City. He currently is a clinical instructor at Columbia University’s Department of Dermatology in Manhattan.
Dr. Ross Zeltser is a board-certified dermatologist specializing in Mohs micrographic surgery. He graduated and obtained his M.D. from the University of Rochester School of Medicine in Rochester, New York. He has been performing Mohs surgery for Hudson Dermatology patients since 2008 and joined the practice full time in 2017, heading our office in Somers and a Mohs surgery center in White Plains. Since 2013, Dr. Zeltser has repeatedly been rated by his peers as one of Westchester’s top doctors by Castle Connolly, whose selections are published by Westchester magazine.
Dr. Zeltser did his residency at the Boston University/Tufts University Dermatology Residency Program, where he was chosen chief resident. He received his board certification in dermatology in August 2006, and trained as a Mohs surgical fellow under the direction of Gary S. Rogers, M.D., at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston from July 2006 through July 2007.
He has had numerous articles published in medical journals and has presented his work before the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery.
Dr. Zeltser is currently a clinical instructor at Columbia University’s Department of Dermatology.
Dr. Jeffrey Kezis is a board-certified dermatologist and has been in private practice of dermatology for over 30 years. Dr Kezis is the founder of our dermatology practice.
Dr. Kezis is a graduate of the Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed his residency in dermatology at the State University of New York at Buffalo. He is a lifetime member of the American Academy of Dermatology and an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Department of Dermatology at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City.
Dr. Lasha Jaiani is board certified in internal medicine and specializes in dermatology. He has a special interest in skin manifestations of internal disease. He completed his training in medicine at the Yale University affiliated Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Conn., and trained in dermatology at the Institute for Family Health in Kingston, N.Y.
Dr. Jaiani has completed extensive research training in dermatology in fellowships at Emory University in Atlanta and at Northwestern University in Chicago. He is a graduate of Tbilisi State Medical University in Tbilisi, Georgia. He has published several scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Alice Gottlieb is director of our new Complex Medical Dermatology unit. Her primary focus is on patients with complicated psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, hidradenitis suppurativa and dermatitis.
Dr. Gottlieb pioneered the use of biologics for the treatment of psoriasis. She was the first person to demonstrate that monotherapy with TNF inhibitors cleared psoriasis. This single paper, published in the Lancet in 2001, revolutionized the field, and she has been involved in biologics development ever since.
From 2006 to 2016, Dr. Gottlieb served as Chair of Dermatology at the Tufts Medical Center. She obtained her M.D. from Cornell and her Ph.D. in immunology from the Rockefeller University, where she was one of the first women admitted to the M.D.-Ph.D. program. This was followed by a residency in internal medicine at Cornell, a fellowship in rheumatology at the Hospital for Special Surgery and a dermatology residency at Cornell.
Dr. Gottlieb is available for consultations with patients over two years old with complex medical dermatology problems that may benefit from systemic therapy. Furthermore, as an investigator for several novel biologic and small-molecule therapeutics, Dr. Gottlieb will bring those options to patients who could potentially benefit from them. She is practicing in our Somers office.
Dr. Darice Fadeyi is a board-certified dermatologist with more than 15 years of clinical experience in private practice. She obtained her M.D. from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and completed her dermatology residency at the University of Pennsylvania Health System in Philadelphia in 2003. Dr Fadeyi also completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship in Chestnut Hill, Mass., in 2004.
Dr. Fadeyi enjoys working with patients of all ages and has an interest in both medical and cosmetic dermatology. She practices in our Somers office.
Dr. Jennifer Goldwasser is board-certified in dermatology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. Her focus is on medical dermatology — the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair, and nail diseases — in adults and children. She is the lead physician in Hudson Dermatology’s new Tarrytown office.
Dr. Goldwasser founded and practiced at Central Westchester Dermatology for 20 years, then practiced at Scarsdale Medical Group before joining Hudson Dermatology. She holds a faculty position as Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx. She was named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor based on reviews by her peers in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017, appearing in Westchester Magazine, and was listed as a SuperDoctor in The New York Times Magazine in 2012, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017.
She received her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, with honors in nutritional biochemistry, and her medical degree from State University of New York (SUNY)-Downstate in Brooklyn where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor medical society. She completed her internship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and returned to SUNY-Downstate for her dermatology residency, where she served as chief resident.
Dr. Sunny K. Chun is double-board-certified in both dermatology and pediatric dermatology. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive pediatric dermatology as well as medical and cosmetic adult dermatology.
As a mother of twins, she is passionate about pediatric dermatology and uses her expertise to treat birthmarks, pigmented and vascular lesions, hair and nail disorders, atopic dermatitis, diaper rashes, and acne. She practices in Hudson Dermatology’s Tarrytown office.
Dr. Chun earned her medical degree from the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in New York City, and completed her dermatology residency training at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey, where she served as chief resident. She completed her pediatric dermatology fellowship training under the mentorship of the highly regarded pediatric dermatologists at Hackensack University Hospital.
Kristina Carr is a certified physician assistant with over 27 years of clinical experience. She received her bachelor’s degree from Colgate University and trained as a Physician Assistant at Northeastern University in Boston.
Ms. Carr worked in primary care and various surgical specialties in New England before moving to the Hudson Valley in 1985. She trained in dermatology and dermatologic surgery with Dr. Herbert Goodheart, who retired from the practice in 2010, and worked with him for 11 years while at Kaiser.
Suellen Nelson is a certified physician assistant with over 31 years of clinical experience. She received her bachelor’s degree from the Boston College School of Nursing and her physician assistant training at the Yale University School of Medicine’ Physician Associate Program in New Haven, Conn.
Mrs. Nelson trained in dermatology and dermatologic surgery with Dr. Herbert Goodheart, who retired from Hudson Dermatology in 2010. She has worked as a physician assistant in various surgical and medical specialties, most recently at the Danbury Office of Physician Services in Danbury, Conn.
Karl Kruszynski, a certified physician assistant, joined Hudson Dermatology in July 2014. He sees patients in our Kingston and Poughkeepsie offices.
Mr. Kruszynski studied and practiced dermatology for seven years under Dr. Marie-Louise Johnson as a physician assistant at Dermatology Services of Kingston and as a fellow at the Institute for Family Health in Kingston. Before that he worked as a physician assistant for more than three years at Hudson Valley Urology.
Mr. Kruszynski received his master of health science and his physician assistant training at Duke University in North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
Isaac Rosenblum is a certified physician assistant who worked in neurovascular surgery, urgent care, family medicine and internal medicine before coming to Hudson Dermatology in early 2016.
Mr. Rosenblum graduated with highest honors from the physician assistant program at Miami Dade College in Florida in 2014.
He came to medicine by an unusual route: he first earned a law degree and practiced as a lawyer for four years. While practicing law, Mr. Rosenblum also trained to be an emergency medical technician, and decided that medical work was his calling.
Caroline Raftopol is a certified physician assistant with more than five years of clinical experience in dermatology. She started her career practicing in the lower Hudson Valley region before joining Hudson Dermatology in fall 2017. Ms. Raftopol sees patients of all ages for a wide range of conditions, including rashes and acne, and also performs skin cancer screenings.
Ms. Raftopol completed her bachelor’s degree in biology at Iona College. She received her degree in Health Sciences and her Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Mercy College in 2011.
Ms. Raftopol was raised in Westchester County and has a homegrown love of the local area. She sees patients in our Tarrytown and Fishkill offices.
Nicole Valastro is a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist. She provides a range of esthetic services including chemical peels, microdermabrasion, facials, and laser hair removal.
Ms. Valastro received her esthetician license at the Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skincare in 1999. She supervised and instructed students and prepared them for State Board Exams at the school from 2000-2002. She also owned and operated Nicole Valastro Skincare.
In 2002, Ms. Valastro joined Allergy and Dermatololgy Associates of the Hudson Valley as a licensed medical assistant, complimenting her experience in aesthetics with medical experience in dermatology. She now works alongside Dr. Uyttendaele at Hudson Dermatology providing laser treatments, Botox, Radiesse, Restylane and sclerotherapy.
Abby Mandia is a licensed esthetician and cosmetologist. She provides a wide range of esthetic services in our Fishkill office including chemical peels, microdermabrasion and facials. She also operates our excimer laser and TheraClear acne clearing system.
Ms. Mandia graduated from Capri Cosmetology in 2008 and has been with Hudson Dermatology since 2010. In addition to working as an esthetician, Ms. Mandia is also a medical assistant to our doctors, physician assistants, Mohs surgeon and plastic surgeons.
Marisa Bedner is a licensed esthetician and offers a wide range of esthetic services in our Kingston office.
She graduated from the Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skin Care in 2007, and worked in medical spas in New York City before joining Hudson Dermatology in 2013. In addition to working as an esthetician, Ms. Bedner also is a medical assistant to our doctors and physician assistants.
Lyris Rivera is a licensed esthetician and provides a full range of esthetic services in our Somers office.
She graduated from the Hudson Valley School of Advanced Aesthetic Skin Care in 2007 and was licensed as an esthetician the following year. Ms. Rivera has provided esthetic services at well-known spas in Dutchess, Westchester and Rockland counties, and has managed American Laser Centers in Pougkeepsie and Jacksonville, Fla.
Ms. Rivera joined Hudson Dermatology in 2017. She also works as a medical assistant to our doctors and physician assistants.
