What is Restylane?

Restylane is used to treat facial wrinkles and folds. It is composed of a non-animal based substance called hyaluronic acid that already exists in the human skin. With age, this substance is lost in the skin, resulting in folds in the mouth area and thinning of the lips. Injecting Restylane in the skin restores the lost skin volume.

How quickly does Restylane work and how long does it last?

The result is seen the day after treatment. The treatment is not permanent and lasts for six to nine months.

Which wrinkles can be reduced?

Restylane is used to treat wrinkles and folds of the lower half of the face, such as the folds between the nose and mouth and those at the corner of the mouth. Lips appear fuller after treatment, and fine wrinkles around the mouth can be reduced.
